Peoria NEXT Offers $50,000 Research Grants
Peoria NEXT will be awarding two $50,000 grants this summer through the Peoria NEXT Research Grant Program. Pre-proposals are being accepted now, application deadline is May 26, 2010 and awards will be announced July 15, 2010.
Funds for this Grant Program were obtained through donations to Peoria NEXT. These grants will support innovation and the implementation of commercialization in the areas of life science, physical science, material science, and engineering science. Funding will be awarded to projects that best incorporate the inter-institutional collaboration, scientific/technical merit, commercialization potential, and future access to funding. Priority will be given to Peoria NEXT anchor organization partnerships or proven Central Illinois Partnerships.
