Local Businesses Missing Out on Cash Incentives

The Economic Development Council for Central Illinois is encouraging Peoria Metro businesses to take advantage of some cash incentives for energy efficiency projects.  Ameren Illinois Utilities is offering its business customers cash incentives for numerous energy efficiency projects through its Act On Energy business programs.  While there is plenty funding available, we’re being told business customers in the Peoria Metro are not taking full advantage of the programs locally; therefore other regions are getting our share.

Qualified applicants will receive cash payments to offset the total cost for a wide range of energy efficiency upgrades, and these higher efficiency improvements will result in lower utility bills.  Ameren is offering these incentives to business customers who upgrade their lighting, heating and cooling system projects, refrigeration, motors and custom projects and process improvements to more energy efficient programs.  For more information visit www.actonenergy.com
