Educate to Innovate Campaign

Date:
Dec 1

Students in America rank 21st in science and 25th in math compared with students around the world, which puts us at a significant disadvantage on many fronts. President Obama is now encouraging the U.S. to restore the nation's leadership in educating children in math and science by announcing a new campaign called “Educate to Innovate.” This campaign brings teachers, parents, and businesses together for the sake of education.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because it is. This is what the Peoria Charter School Initiative is trying to do. By launching a charter school in Peoria, we will have a stronger focus on math, science and technology. This is a necessity for the United States and it is a necessity for Peoria. Our students are falling behind now and that is only going to hold us back in the future.

December 21st, PCSI will go in front of the district 150 school board and we encourage you to attend this meeting and show your support for the charter school program.
