Candidate School Registration Ending Soon

Peoria, IL (September 25, 2009) – There are only a few more days to register for the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce’s Candidate School. Whether you are considering a career in politics, running a local office, or working on a campaign, there’s a lot you should know about the rules and regulations that come with an elected position.

The Peoria Area Chamber announces the 2nd annual Candidate School. Sessions will be offered on campaign logistics, financial reporting, campaign fundraising, messaging and earned media. Each topic will be presented by experts in that particular field who have either run for office in the past, hold office now or worked on campaigns.

This program covers everything you need to know to delve into the political arena or just become more knowledgeable on how it works. Candidate School will be held from 5:30-7:30pm Thursday evenings October 8-October 29th at the Peoria Area Chamber office at 100 SW Water St. Peoria.
