Nominations for the 2010 Athena Award are being accepted by the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce.  The Athena award is sponsored by Moran Stanley Smith Barney and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce.  The ATHENA Award program celebrates the potential of all women as valued members and leaders of the community and recognizes those who support them. The ATHENA Award honors women who strive towards the highest levels of professional accomplishment. Those who excel in their chosen field, have devoted time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and who also make paths so that others may follow.

ATHENA recipients must meet each of the three specific criteria:
• Assist women in reaching their full potential
• Demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession
• Provide valuable service by devoting time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community

Nominations must be received by: Friday, August 13, 2010 at 4:30PM.
Award will be handed out October 6th at The Heartland Partnership Annual Meeting
